Hair Straightening FAQ's - Services

Hair Straightening FAQ's

"Japanese" Thermal Straightening is a process that rearranges the bonds of the hair and permanently straightens the treated area leaving it silky smooth until regrowth occurs at the root and a "touch up" is needed. Brazilian Keratin Treatments coat the hair shaft and do not rearrange the bonds of the hair, resulting in a temporary straightening effect lasting anywhere between 3-6 months. Brazilian Keratin treatments are not relaxers, and results vary on different hair types.

Can colored, permed, or highlighted/bleached hair be straightened, relaxed, or treated with Keratin protein?
Yes. colored, permed, or highlighted/bleached  hair can be treated safely with maximum results using any one of the straightening/protein treatments we offer. However, the more chemically treated the hair, the more special attention is needed. As with any method of hair straightening, damage may occur if  product is misused or in the hands of an inexperienced technician. Wild Hare Salon guarantees our technicians are certified professionals, and reserves the right to deny service on any individual if we feel the integrity of the hair will be compromised.
